My teaching philosophy can be found here
While teaching AP Theory, I had ear-training check-ins to evaluate student progress and reflect on what areas to improve upon. Those artifacts can be found here
You can find a short clip of me teaching elementary students about Timbre below. I enjoyed connecting the sounds of different instruments to different types of apples. It gave students an easy way to remember the word and relate the meaning to a food they enjoy. My lesson plan for the video is found here
Below you can find a short clip of me warming up a middle school ensemble. We focused on balancing a note as an ensemble according to our sound pyramid. I enjoyed exploring their dynamic range changing from loud to soft. This demonstrates they are able to watch the conductor during a piece of music making the song much more interesting for the listener. Lesson Plan for the Day.
